Just a perfect day for a recovery after yesterday's hills. Early this morning low cloud had thoughts of another wasted Sunday running wise. However by 9:00am sunny blue skies prevailed and it is now just about spot on.
I didn't do all the right things yesterday to recover properly so I was not sure how today would go.
Started out at a jog down Johnson Dr and Woodcock Dr heading to Point Hut and felt OK. Along the river track, nice soft sand and dirt, no one else in sight and for once no wind. Past Pine Is and up to the top car park , then returned to the beach.
The scenery improved dramatically here, so I stayed a while to soak the legs in the cool water before heading back along the river track, up through the dog exercise area and back home.
Good solid run, nice day, pleasure to be out and about.
There is a discussion topic on cool running about the need to have rest days. Interesting to hear how others manage to run and rest, and not get sick or injured, or do they?

Dog Exercise area.
Is that an incentive to run faster when it seems they could be chasing you?

Sounds like a nice run and parts of it sound familiar.
I finally got on my bike yesterday for a short cycle. Its a start....

I'd have rest days if there were 9 days in the week.
I think you should put your hand up for the GNW 100 next year as a warm-up for C2K :)
