On Ya Bike.... and Hold On
Running: nil
Bike ride: 20 km in 90 mins approx.
Weather: sunny, temp 9-11 degrees, humidity 60%, wind strong NW at 30 kmph
It was a case of hold on to everything today as the wind would have blown away anything not tied down. A rest day from running, last week I did an easy 9 km after the bike ride. Just felt as though the riding would be enough, and it was.
Four of us left the depot, a couple piked out, just after 11:00 am, deciding to do the Kambah, Murrumbidgee Golf Course, Gleneagles, Urambi Hills loop. Mostly off road, bit of bike path and parts very hilly.
Locals will know some of the track we travelled, as it was the old vet's handicap course on the base of Urambi Hills. The out and back course, not the great loop with that almighty climb on the river side of Urambi Hill. That was a ripper of a course, should be part of the mountain running club program. One reason the club opted not to use the tracks was the rough surface and rocks, but the track was in very good order, perfect for bike riding and would be great for running.
Thirty kms of biking today with the ride to and from work, a nice change from the running, but only once a week.

It was really windy out there today and the wind was bitterly cold too. You were brave battling the elements on your bike - brrrr!
