The weekend turned out to be very good, no shopping, no markets and two short runs in warm weather. Plus the smell of salt air and some splashing about in cold Bass Strait after Sunday's short run all the trip to Gippsland worth while.
Some friends from Tassie are having a couple of weeks of R & R. A 400 km trip each way for us is just a bit of morning travel to see them. If travelling south some time, the pies and coffee at both the Cann River Bakery and the Orbost Bakery are well worth stopping for to taste.
Lakes Entrance was quiet over the weekend, out of school holiday and not Christmas, New Year or Easter. It would be packed at these times and easy to see why Victorians do visit.
Today I ran home for lunch and back to work. Some slack running last week has put me behind with Fitzroy Falls Fire Trail marathon on 10th Oct. I must get busy over the next couple of weeks. The weather forecast is looking good so far.
