A male only run today on a beautiful morning for running. The Cotter area is being dug up ready for the building of the new dam. Luckily our normal parking area is still available, but the road up to Pierces Creek settlement is now closed to half way. We needed to run a bit further up the main road and then get on to the dirt.
Started easy, walked a bit up the hills, ran the down and the flat, not much of that. Vanities water level has dropped a little, just under the wall level, nice and clear and cool especially appreciated on the return. Uneventful for Softshoe and myself running a bit back from the other two who were moving the snakes and other wildlife out of the way. Mick said they saw two very good big sized black snakes on Warks Road. I presume they had red bellies or they may have been tiger snakes. Not the golfer type " tiger" the stay at home tiger snakes.
Mick turned at Bendorra Dam Road, still doing 46 kms, while the other three of us added the extras. Some bush walkers and a mountain biker out on the trails as well.
Good running back to Vanities, mostly down hill, then walked over "Ma & Pa" to the settlement and back to the start.
Very good day, we had Pam with us last time we ran this in late Oct and now she is doing Coast to Kozi, go Pam !
Just for something different, I am going out tonight to the local version of the WWE wrestling at Woden Tradies. Should be a fun night if I can get one of their big schnitzels down first and then stay awake to watch the action.
