Nice easy run down to the river, collected by car so I didn't have to run up any hills. I did that part yesterday. Finished with 10 minutes in the river, actually found a clear cool spot, now a secret location so I'm not telling. Plenty of mums and kids in the water at the normal main beach area.
I have just had a phone call from the Coast to Kozi female winner, go Pam go!! She is back in town after the race, very happy with herself, I am so glad she did well. A quick summary from what she said, no real problems during the run, only once didn't take kindly to some milk, otherwise, all went according to plan. Susannah, 2nd female, got with 50 metres at one stage, but she kept her at bay. Broke female record, no pressure on her at all leading into the race, so she could run to her own plan. She will take a rest now until end of January.
Last night went to Woden Tradies for the big schnitzel and a couple of hours at the local pro wrestling. If you don't take it seriously, and cheer on the baddies, then you have a great night. The tag team event was a highlight as well as the triple title match that ended in a no result with the challengers cheating, the belt holder taking a dive and the ex champ butting in to create confusion. In the end, the title was declared vacant to be resolved next year.
