A weekend may well be a couple of days off mid week, just when everyone else is at work. Such is progress in modern society in my work place.
We like it when our work place gets political, everyone that thinks they know how to organise a bus network puts their 2 cents worth in.
The reality is that most new ideas are old ideas put forward when others had forgotten the past. Compulsory weekend work was being performed 20 years ago before I started at work. It was thrown out because it was too expensive, & even more unreliable than what we have today.
At least today, anyone that works on a weekend does it voluntarily.
Nothing to report on today's running, just home for lunch and back to work. A bit slow out of the blocks going home, better going back, felt comfortable & relaxed. Nice day under cloud cover.
