This picture was taken a couple of weeks ago at Point Hut crossing, closed by the huge amount of water, as we had 200 mils of rain in a couple of days. Now that water has subsided and moved down stream. First to Wagga Wagga and now it's down to Hay. Both have been inundated by our water.
The river at Pine Island tonight is still high, well above normal levels, but at least the flow rate is slower. Some people were in the water having a swim, close to the bank, or paddling their kayaks.
A late afternoon run after work, no time during the day with a short meal break in the city.
It was nice as I ran to Pine Is and back. Easy pace a it took a few kms to get moving. Combine a reasonable distance of kms over the weekend plus a day off running, it's a bit of a struggle to get going again.
Time to get really moving with only 3 plus a few days before Coburg. Upping the kms to just under peak for me. Still will be way under what Phibes is intending to get done, unbelievable, and way beyond what I could handle, both physically & mentally.

It'll be a good mental test if you can keep track of the number of times Phibes laps you ;-)
