If Mt Taylor had been an active volcano a few years ago, then the title might have been right. But I couldn't think of an alternative. I might have titled today " Superb Views of the Valley" and it was near perfect on top of the mountain. Pity few people get to experience the scenery from above as there is no road, and the tracks are steep.
I left work this morning just as the clouds were breaking up, out came the sun and up went the temperature. Around the outside of Lake Tuggeranong, under Athllon Dr and followed the bike path past Kambah Village to Sulwood Dr. The over to the car park at the end of Waldock St in Chifley and up to the top of Mt Taylor. Stopped to enjoy the view and continued on down to the horse paddocks. Down Athllon Dr to the lake edge and back to work. Stopped for a quick refill of the drink bottle, down to Pine Is, stand in the water for a while and a gentle jog back to work.
A good day out in the valley, nice day not too warm. Legs a bit tired from easy bike ride yesterday, improved as the run progressed.
