Another small return to running, not fast and not far. But it did feel much easier.
On such a nice afternoon around 1:30 pm, I ran from work to Pine Is, around in a small loop on the tracks taking care to watch for early season snakes. None sighted. Stood in the water for 10 minutes before jogging back to work. Great day out in the sunshine.
It has been nearly 3 weeks since Glasshouse, the tiredness is slowly going and today felt really good.
I ordered a DVD of the Glasshouse run which arrived yesterday. It is not professional standard, but the guys did a good job to show the area, the runners, crew, and an interview with Bill Thompson, a legend in trail running. Bill has completed about 9 100 mile events there, as well as half a dozen of the top trail 100 mile events in USA. It's about a 2 hour watch, worth seeing the fellow ultra nuts who do these kind of events.
