Rode the bike from work to Calwell oval. It seems everyone was into speed sessions except me. A perfect autumn morning although I did wait until it warmed up a bit.
The oval has been top dressed in places so a bit sandy but still as good as any grass running surface in the territory. A cool SE wind blew up the back straight although that became the front straight on changing directions.
Similar to most sessions on the grass, ran bare feet, changed direction after each 5 laps and stopped for a drink after each 5 laps. No one else about although I did see a man with a golf stick get out of his car, walk about a bit hoping I was leaving. But he left probably can't hit the ball straight so wasn't taking the chance on hitting me, a moving target.
Not a fast session, sets in 9' 52" ( 4'21" ), 9' 45" ( 4'15"), 9' 33" ( 4'14") and 9' 26" ( 4'06"), just a bit faster each time. Nice day, very enjoyable, should do it more often.

And SFP grass is still in excellent condition.

So should I. Haven't given lane 6 a workout for a while.
Just about perfect running weather lately - wouldn't be dead for quids!
