Drove down to Calwell oval this afternoon after a sleep in and some work around the yard at home. The grass is growing so fast, the weeds even faster.
Beautiful afternoon until some thunder type clouds rolled in late and blocked out the sun. However, it's always nice down there to run bare feet in lane 5. The grass does need a cut, but the length means a nice soft surface, no hard patches.
The usual session, although shorter, only 15 laps in lane 5 plus a bit of cool down jogging. Easy after yesterday's long outing, 3 sets of 5 laps, at average of 4' 49" per km. Comfortable enough pace, without pushing or sprinting.
Then drove down to Point Hut to spend 15 minutes in the river, very nice indeed.

I'll let you do your warm-up in lane 6. I want the grass flattened down a bit for my next run.
