Went out for a run today just for the fun of it, no training meant to be gained, not too fast and not too difficult. Of course it had a few small hills thrown in just because I could. Tapering is not easy because most of the time the weather is always good and it seems like a day wasted if you don't use it.
Not much to report today about the run, except the river has more water in than for the last 5 years, plenty of flow, but a dirty brown colour.
After the storm on Tuesday night, we thought we may have escaped any damage. The house is OK, but the electrics did not fare too well. Looks like we have lost 2 TVs and 2 telephones from either a lightning strike to the TV antenna or a power surge. The computer was not plugged in or that would have gone as well.
Now I know why we pay contents insurance every year, one day you may have to make a claim.
