I should have gone out for a run this morning, but slept in. After getting home from the mountain running on Mt Rob Roy yesterday, a phone call from work asking me to work last night as someone could not make it in. Easy enough, four and a half hours straight through, no meal break. Back home at midnight, watched the footy for a while then some of the twenty20 cricket from India, and it was well after 2 am before I went to bed.
I toured Tugggeranong valley today on the tracks above the suburbs of Theodore, Conder, Banks and Gordon. Stopped for a quick chat with a fellow bus driver near his home in Banks, pushing his motor bike back home after some repairs that obviously hadn't worked. Backyard mechanic, maybe he will catch the bus to work tomorrow.
There was not much warmth in the air today, the cool southerly wind cutting through, and I thought it was supposed to be better to run when it is more on the cool side than the warm side. Doesn't apply to me, it is going to be a long winter.
