I should have titled today's story " A Big Weekend" as that is what it was. Fairly tired now but happy with how the weekend turned out. A race over a long and not so easy course thrown in the mix was Ok, well off my best time but I have lost any speed I once had. Finished 72nd out of around 90 so not last, the fast back markers went past me as if I was standing still, it was only for the rain overnight or I would have been eating dust.
A long cool down run, also called adding good kms to the day and the weekend with Liz was great. A chance to chat and catch up about all things running, past, present and near future.
An easy day or two to consolidate this weekend, must venture to the river to cool down the legs. Talking to Robbie and others today, the water at Vanities Crossing at the Cotter run is now just above freeeezing, you know the second step in the water when the pain hits. Good for you.

  • I've got a better one for you - The Lake to Lagoon Fun Run - entry is free!

Amazing how you slacked off in that one with no competition from CJ or Strewth.
