Weather: sunny, temp 14 degrees, humidity 45%, wind calm
Today:
Distance: 17.65 km in  99' 19" at ave 5' 38" per km
Weather: sunny, temp 14 degrees, humidity 50%, wind northerly 10 kmph
Week: 58.85 km,  Year:  2063.9 km
May: 414.55 km in 28/31 days at ave 14.8 km per run day

I stuffed up the May km calculations sometime back & had wonderful thoughts of getting over 500 kms for the month. That would mean averaging around 125 kms per week, not possible.
I did however manage to get over 400 kms completed for the month which is Ok considering there were only 2 long runs, one of 33 km & one day of 40 kms. The rest were mainly short, less than 10 kms.I only missed 3 days of running in the month,
I am on a 19 day running streak at present, probably will end with the rain due late this weekend.
Yesterday's run was from work to home for lunch and back again. Back was a bit longer than coming home.
Today, I did the "time trial" course from a couple of years ago. It starts at the bottom of Learmonth Dr at Kambah, goes up Drakeford Dr past Kambah shops to Sulwood/Namagira Dr. Then down past Gleneagles to the golf course, along the fire/horse trail beside the golf course to the base of Urambi Hills and back to the start. Add on the warm up and cool down back to work and it's a tough 12 km loop.
Certainly work to do to get back to just over an hour from a couple of years ago, it was slow today.
Still lots of water near the golf course that hasn't dried out & caused a detour.
Finished the day with 25 minutes in the gym, and now tired all over instead of just the legs. Easy day tomorrow, climbing Mt Rob Roy on Saturday morning.

  • Anything over 400 ks is a big month in my book... but you're well short of Softshoe's total ;) Looks like Sunday might be the day for a rest or jogette.
