Softshoe joined me this morning to run our usual loop from home to Wanniassa Hills, the lower Isaacs trail to go past Mawson shops on our way to the base fire trail of Mt Taylor.
Then over to Farrer ridge to watch orienteers go by scattering the kangaroos from their hiding places.
Finished back on Wanniassa Hills to go thru Gowrie and back to start.
Brisk temperature at our 8 am start, -2 degrees although it was colder an hour earlier. Not too bad the conditions wearing gloves for the first as well as 2 layers of clothing. Bit of a change from summer when the layers come off as the temps rise.
A good hit out, we didn't push the pace at all as shows in our km rate. Softshoe is at the top of his current training plan & I'm on the comeback, so our needs are different at present.
Very enjoyable outing, thanks for the company. We will do similar next week with a few more kms added on following the 25% rule.

Good to see you are out there again enjoying your long runs. Puts the rest of us to shame ;-).

What's with J? You're not putting me to shame - I'm doing long runs! Well, 15k is long when your race distance is 5k ;)
