Today was last of any kind of distance run before next weekend. Easy run from Molonglo reach around the base of Mt Ainslie. Temp good for running with the run starting just after sunrise but there was plenty of fog around and the humidity was high. Would not have been pleasant starting any later.
Short summary of the training for Six Foot Track since start of November. I had finished Brindabella Classic in late October so there was a big base to kick off the training for Six Foot Track, just increase the amount of uphill was the basic plan of attack.
Total distance since start of November, 1572.73km on 89 running days = ave 17.67 km per run. No. of days 123 so plenty of rest & recovery days. I seem to know my limits and not get injured or sick.
Reached top of Mt Ainslie 10 times, top of Mt Majura 6 times, top of Mt Tennent 9 times, plenty of uphill just in the three mountains plus most other runs had some form of undulating track. No road running at all, a few times at the AIS track, probably not enough.
Too late now to change anything, I think I had a better plan than last year but only time will tell.
