Roadworks behind the bus depot are preventing me from starting my runs in the usual direction. The road is being duplicated and it may take another 5 months to complete, according to the guy that operates the stop/go sign.
Today I went on another off road loop run away from civilization. Followed Athllon Dr to Tuggie Creek, then down to the river where I headed out to Red Rocks gorge. Really nice out there today with a group of four bush walkers sitting on a log having lunch, the only people I saw. Back on the track near the river to Pine Is, stopped to stand in the water for 15 minutes and then kick some sand, it almost felt like summer instead of early winter. The water is very cool, not quite cold, but you need to keep still because moving stirs up the cold water. A short jog back to work and a warm shower, lunch and a chat. Good day today, very enjoyable.
