Too many hours working and not enough living, or at least running. Really not a mental problem as this is easing back week.
Wednesday was a busy day, 13-14 hours at work is not much joy after a few in a row. Every now and then when it has to be done, is Ok.
A short split break meant only a short run, 10 minutes in the river for recovery and 20 minutes in the gym. Not much time to relax let alone eat lunch.
Today, less free time with a couple of jobs to do, so no running. I did get 35 minutes in the gym with some advise and help from our driver trainer who also teaches karate. Some good exercises to complement the ones I do now. His are very tough, but then they have to be.
Hopefully, Friday will be fine and I get a chance to run something.
The gym work helps get some exercise but nothing beats the great outdoors. It must be difficult for those that are injured, sick or in recovery, not to be able to just run for fun. The mental side is just as important as the physical.

Yes, it is mighty tough when you are sick or injured and not able to get out to enjoy some running! Emma Adams has a great T shirt that says something like:
Need a therapist?
Take up running. :o)
