Smoke Gets in Your Eyes

Today:
Distance: 7.65 km
Time: 38' 38"
Rate: 5' 04" per km
Weather: smokey, cloudy, temp 23 degrees, humidity 30%, wind light NW 15 kmph
Week: 63.55 km, Oct: 236.2 km, Year: 3566.15 km

Smoke hazard signs at the entrance to Pine Is indicated that the air was not going to be pleasant to breathe. The firies were clearing the paddocks behind the town centre in preparation for the summer. It indicates that the kangaroos, however plentiful, are not doing their job at keeping the grass down.
I left work and went behind the big Centrelink building, then down towards the river, before arriving at the scene of the fire. Plenty of smoke, not much activity, no big fire.
Stood in the river for 15 minutes while some kids played on a rubber canoe, don't know what happened to school today. Must be a "make your own arrangements" day.
Nice day apart from the smoke, dry air, not much humidity makes running easier.
